Hi I’m Steph!

 Curator of flowers, or you may say floral stylist, florist, all round flower obsessed and owner of Rabbit and the Rose.

For me, flowers are emotive, they tell a story and convey sentiment, whether to celebrate or send love, they all have a narrative to share. My job is to express YOUR story through the flowers, whilst evoking all the senses with a creative approach to composition, texture, colour and scent.

My background;

I’ve been flexing my floral skill set for over 15 years, starting from being a ‘Saturday girl’ florist assistant in a local florist shop, before diverting my studies in art and design. Despite the slight detour, flowers have always remained an important focus of my life and studies. In 2017 I launched Rabbit and the Rose as a response to my need for expressing creativity and a realisation of a gap in the market for my style of natural floristry.

With a degree in textile design and eye for styling, I’m always looking out for new trends and techniques whilst celebrating the seasons, and the natural beauty flowers and foliage offer.

Sustainability;

I always aim to provide my flowers in an environmentally friendly way as possible. I have made conscious decisions and changes in how many of my displays are constructed and packaged to reduce the use of plastic and harmful chemicals. I no longer use floral foam as part of my mechanics, but instead use other water retaining techniques including moss, re-usable vessels, and wool fibre. I no longer provide bouquets in plastic wrapping but instead use paper giftwrap for hand-tied designs, and jars or vases in luxury card gift bags.

Whilst a lot of my flowers come imported from the dutch market supporting floral growers from around the world, I also love to use English and locally grown wherever possible, focussing on seasonality and never compromising on quality.

 Services;

I provide joyful and romantic flowers for weddings, events, special occasions, funerals and I also run workshops. It is imperative to reflect my clients personality and vision through their flowers; whether it is for a large event such as a wedding, for funeral displays, or simply a gift bouquet, every occasion is important and requires understanding and sensitivity. Through conversation and care, I will be with you from the initial consultation right through to creating and often delivering your arrangements, so you can be sure you're getting a personalised and bespoke service.

Specialising in bespoke wedding and event flowers, I also take occasional orders depending on availability including; funeral displays, special commissions, gift bouquets. You’ll see me pop up during high days and holidays showcasing seasonal displays such as for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas. You can also learn how to do the flowers like me at my workshops or book a private party or 1:1.

Thank you for dropping by and joining in my floral journey. Explore my pages, check out my socials, or if you’d like to learn more about the services I offer, or just fancy a chat with me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
